Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, Govt. Polytechnic Ambota was established in 1995 on Ambedkar Jyanti at village - Ambota, Tehsil - Ghanari, Distt. - Una in Himachal Pradesh.

The Polytechnic provides three years diploma courses in Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering and Architecture Assistantship disciplines.

All courses are approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

The H.P. Takniki Shiksha Board, Dharmshala (H.P.) conducts semester examinations, Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) and Lateral Entry Entrance Test (LEET).
